The Ghana YMCA Hostel/Guest House in Accra is one of the easiest places to locate in the city. Built on a vast 8.2 acre-land space, it is conveniently situated in the heart of the city, and is approximately about 20 minutes’ drive from the airport and far less from all the major bus terminals in the city.
Our location is unique in the sense that it has close proximity to a number or national landmarks and edifices such as the Electoral Commission office, The Holy Spirit Cathedral, the National Museum and the new Regional Hospital formerly the Ridge Hospital. Our location affords conducive and easier access to any part of Accra, be it the official government ministries, the parliament house, the main entertainment centers at Osu, the Accra Sports Stadium or central market for any business. This is one reason many prefer lodging at the YMCA in Accra.
You are assured of 24 hour security, serenity and sensitive service and we do our best in accepting all persons irrespective of one’s background.
HOSTEL: Our hostel facilities are among the most affordable in Accra, notwithstanding the services provided. We are low in cost and provide 150 beds capacity to cater for students from within and outside Ghana who need accommodation. Our hostel also serves travelers on transit and groups like churches, students, footballers etc.
THE GUEST HOUSE: We have newly decorated spacious rooms with air condition, a TV and a fridge, that gives the comfort that you desire.
We have standard single, twin and double rooms with self- catering facilities to enable you cook your own food if you do not want to use our restaurant.
RESTAURANT: A restaurant operates on our facility and provides mainly Ghanaian dishes. It operates from Monday to Friday and provide lunch. Breakfast can be provided once an order is placed.
OUR HALLS AND OPEN SPACES: Spacious halls serve the purposes of social gatherings like birthday parties, weddings, funeral receptions, symposia, seminars, lectures, church meetings etc. Our hall is well ventilated and provides a seating capacity of approximately 400.
LAUNDRY: Special arrangements can be made with the Hostel Supervisor for laundry and ironing
CAR PARKING: We have spacious and secured car parking for all events.

PAYMENTS
Guests are required to make all payments at the time of arrival. Payments can be made in Ghana Cedis or its Cedi equivalent in US dollars.

OTHER SERVICES: A whole world on its own, we have other service providers who also share our premises such as a Pharmacy shop, Forex Bureau, Business Center (including DHL Courier services and ID Card providers) and a Law Firm.
Koforidua and Konongo Facilities: We also have other similar facilities in Koforidua in the Eastern Region and Konongo in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The Koforidua facility boasts of 8 self-contained rooms and two other rooms with 3 beds with its own washrooms. It is equally located in a serene environment with a number of trees providing a comfortable park around the facility which is ideal for relaxation through reading. The facility provides a hall which can be rented for conferences or training programmes. It is located close to the Regional Electoral Commission Office and it is about 10 minutes’ drive from the Central Business District of Koforidua. The hostel at Konongo has three rooms with three beds in each of them. It is not self-contained but have shared washrooms. It is located close to the Accra – Kumasi Highway and it is next to the District Hospital at Konongo. The facility also have a hall which can be rented for training, wedding ceremonies, parties etc.
