COIVID 19 – humanitarian activity by YMCA in the Western Region
To honour mothers, the Western Region YMCA collaborated with Fountain of Living Waters Ministries to donate nose masks and food supplies to widows and single mothers to bring relief and encouragement amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Principal of the YMCA Vocational Training Centre at Takoradi led a number of trainees who dedicated quality time of their lives to produce 100 pieces of nose masks within 2 days towards this honorable initiative.
An elite team was put together for the delivery of the relief packages after the presentation of the Principal and her team.
The delivery team was led by the Western Regional Director of the YMCA, Nana Peperah Antwi and the lead Pastor of Fountain of Living Waters Ministries, Rev Herbert Spio-Mason.
The team moved from door to door in different communities delivering the relief packages as well as creating awareness on the importance of wearing nose mask to help the global fight against coronavirus.
It was a full day filled with hope, smiles and encouragement as these striving mothers expressed gratitude to the Ghana YMCA for remembering them in these truly difficult times.
